Intro
I question everything, always have, always will, because although I do not always expect an answer or a convincing one, the quest for answers and solutions is a most essential and elevating expression of the human spirit.
That said, a natural deficiency in all relevant information is unavoidable, seeing how it is we could not possibly learn everything that could be learned about everything.
When entities and persons are intent on creating an artificial scarcity of accurate information and when this has an economic, social or political benefit for them, then this becomes a bigger problem.
Admittedly this seems to have been the case historically as with most things, but modern tools accelerate this problem and is making it almost impossible to discern and correct.
In a bid to preserve civilization, solve problems and move into a better future we must try understand the fundamental dynamics of the things we disagree and agree on, as well as things known and unknown.
Nature of the Unknown
It is the nature of the unknown to sometimes take a form not unlike the known either in the historicity of its progression to becoming known, or the likelihood that even the supposed known might only be partly understood or even mistaken.
As such, the reason there might be a difference in doctrine, politically, in religion or culturally, especially as found in more advanced concepts and ways of thought is either the presence of a fundamental lack of relevant knowledge or intrinsic differences in how we perceive and experience a similar reality.
One must be aware of the subtle but powerful potential of even small variations and divergences within human communities.
In a few but present instances, these differences in perceptions might be intractably irreconcilable.
Historical path taken
So as we explore and have explored a variety of ideas in the past and continue to lean into the future, we eliminate bad ideas and move progressively towards a truth.
Given the nature of the sensational and of grotesque ideas, this progress could sometimes be punctuated by the appearance or resurfacing of incredibly bad ideas, although this resurfacing ultimately often triggers or signals a shift that leads to the birth of new and more lasting paradigms, paradigms that are more sustainable and closer to a truth.
Humanity over the generations have managed this with varying success and at varying rates, but because humans are very bad at convincing each other as well as incredibly terrible at listening or perhaps quite untrusting, a fair umpire might help speed things along.
Artificial Intelligence
We will need "neutral" tools that follow a specific set of rules and predict certainties by degrees; a tool tasked with giving probabilistic solutions by degree based on a pre-determined logic.
AI would reduce the scope of our debates and help us implement the best solutions, with outstanding socio-economic and political impact; Nietzsche might be sold.
